Wow, I can’t believe 2019 has come to an end. This year has been SOO AMAZING and I am extremely grateful for all of it. So, where do I begin?

I started 2019 in Dong Xing, China in Gaga’s apartment. Me and Ha were in Gaga’s apartment wrapping up presents for our cousin using the “fancy” paper from flower bouquets that were gifted to Ha for her birthday. it was our only opportunity to wrap these gifts while our cousin was out of the house. These were thank you gifts for taking us around China and allowing us to stay in her home. I remember watching the fireworks from balcony of her home and realizing that this trip was coming to an end. The purpose of this trip was for my mom and for her to visit her father. I had no expectations about this trip other than just meeting my mom’s family. This trip answered so many questions about my mom’s childhood and her background. It was so bittersweet when we left.

Fast forward to March, I made the decision to move out of my sister’s house and live with R&D. Although I hated moving, this was an opportunity to become more independent and just do something for me. I always felt like I held myself back because I was always looking out for the interest of everyone else but myself. I can now say that I have roomies. lol. I also realize I have too many things and I’m still learning to keep/buy things I don’t need. There were a lot of emotions associated to the move and the people I choose to live with. I challenge my vulnerability and my strengths — often times, asking myself what am I doing with my life? This is a constant fear I have in the back of my mind and comes out every now and then.

• FEB: First time horseback riding with Hng at J’s house.

• JUNE: My birthday at Jensai; kayaking for the first time

• Our cousin Ban finally tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend

• JULY: State Fair with the Sibs

• Went to my first King’s game at the new G1 arena with D. Kings Vs. NY knicks. We lost…

Ended the year with our first SIB-cation in Honolulu Hawaii. We ended up renting a Jeep to explore the island riding in style. Some favorites about the trip is the Grand Tour, Luau, Feeding the Birds, Hiking the Pillbox and of course, the Hawaiian Sun drinks!
